Chris Howard, Kevin Carter, and Rafael Corrales are the principals behind Residency, an inception-stage fund designed to back elite early-stage founders before they’re ready for traditional pre-seed or seed capital.

Residency invests $100,000 for 5% equity in individuals or founding teams at the idea or pre-company stage.

Long-time friends and collaborators who each separately manage their own seed-stage venture funds, they identified a shared track record of finding high-potential founders early, and created Residency to capture the most talented founders in moments that fall outside the scope or timing of traditional VC funds.
